Sasha Nathanson
Counselling and Psychotherapy
Sasha is a Professionally Accredited Registrant with the NCPS and an EMDR therapist, offering integrative counselling and psychotherapy for adults, young people (11+) and couples.
EMDR is central to Sasha’s practice. It is an evidence-based therapy for PTSD, single-event trauma and complex relational or developmental trauma. EMDR can help the brain and nervous system process experiences that feel overwhelming or difficult to put into words, supporting greater emotional regulation, resilience and vitality.
Sasha works from a person-centred, body-focused and transpersonal approach. Informed by trauma research, neurobiology, attachment theory and Jungian psychology, she has clinical experience supporting clients with life transitions, trauma (including sexual, physical and emotional abuse), PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief and loss, neurodiversity, relationship difficulties; as well as teenagers and young people navigating identity issues.
Sasha has a particular interest in intimate relationships and couples counselling; as well as women’s wellbeing through pregnancy, the perinatal and postnatal periods, matrescence, perimenopause and menopause.
Sandplay and dreamwork are incorporated where appropriate, alongside a trauma-informed, collaborative approach. Sessions are paced to create a safe and confidential space in which clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding and move towards meaningful change.
