Counselling

Counselling is a broad ranging therapy that can be used to help a person with a variety of issues they may be looking to overcome or be supported through.  Exploring thoughts with a professional, non-biased therapist is a confidential way to help a person deal with emotions and life choices and aims to have a positive affect on how they lead their life.

Each person will have a unique issue or subject they wish to discuss and seek advice for, and an impartial ear helps build self-awareness, confidence and direction.

At Yellow Door Therapies, we have three practising counsellors who have a wealth of knowledge in the mind-body connection forum.  Justin Andrews has over 30 years’ experience in the Health and Social care sector and he now centres on counselling, therapy and supervision.  Mind-body connection therapy draws on how the brain affects the functions of our bodies and is the understanding that we need to look at the body as a whole in order to heal and make positive progress.

Sasha Nathanson comes from a background in holistic women’s health and perinatal support which she brings to her practice as an Integrative Counsellor. Sasha’s experience includes maternal mental health, anxiety, burnout, trauma and grief. She works creatively, drawing on Jungian, Humanistic, Gestalt and Transpersonal approaches.

Catherine Sweet is passionate about providing the space for young people to explore whatever is going on for them and helping them to find ways forward. She works compassionately with families from a systemic perspective believing that all individuals within a family affect one another and so everyone in the system matters.
